Mark W. Maier

Mark W. Maier (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in engineering and the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, CA, USA, in 1983 and 1984, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA, USA, in 1991.,He is currently a Technical Fellow with The Aerospace Corporation in Ogden, Utah. His previous positions include Associate Professor of electrical and computer engineering with the University of Alabama in Huntsville and Section Head with the Radar Systems Group, Hughes Aircraft Company. He has coauthored, with Dr. E. Rechtin, the Art of Systems Architecting (CRC Press, Third Edition 2009). His research interests include in system conceptualization, decision analysis, and digital engineering.,Dr Maier is a Fellow of the International Council on Systems Engineering
